《五百里路》频繁使用数词和重复手段，表达了人生路途之艰辛。主人公

乘火车走了。“如果你没赶上我这列火车，你会知道我已走，百里之外，

你可听见车笛在响。”在第一段重复了五遍“一百目里路，表达了他恋

恋不舍，有此彷徨甚至凄凉之感。为什么要走？要去往何方？火车不停

地走，一百里，二百里、三百里，四百里,五百里。此刻，主人公离家

已有五百里。在这第二段中， away from home共出现六次,即重复五

次,表这了主人公对家的眷恋。第二段歌词说他身无分文，这个样子，
